Chapter 13 ♥Gui Gui looked down, at her hand. There was Wang Zi, warm, big, hand holding her hands. Although she like that feeling, she could not do so, but to let go. She was almost speechless, then, she got the courage to speak up again.
' I can't be with you! ' said Gui Gui, with watering eyes as she pushed Wang Zi away and ran to the nearby toilet.
Wang Zi, who wanted to just tease her, did not know that, that could hurt her so much. In the toilet, Gui Gui cried her heart out.
' Sorry, Wang Zi. I just cannot be with you. ' sniffed Gui Gui.
Wang Zi ran to the nearby toilet. He knew that Gui Gui was inside. He waited for her to come out, and now, using his cold tone to talk to Gui Gui.
(Gui Gui still in the toilet.)
' Gui, I'm sorry. ' said Wang Zi calmly.
Gui Gui heard Wang Zi's voice and quickly wept her tears off and came out.
' Sorry what ? ' said Gui Gui, pouting, her eyes were still reddish.
' Weren't you crying ? ' asked Wang Zi.
' No. Fancy for your thoughts. ' said Gui Gui as she walked away.
Wang Zi did not catch up. Maybe, he thought that maybe Gui Gui needed some time to cool down, so, he left her alone.
' Wang Zi. ' mumbled Gui Gui softly as she turned back.
Wang Zi walked another direction, so he was unable to see that Gui Gui actually turned back.
On the other side...' Hehe. Stop splashing. ' said Ya Tou as she splashed water back to Ah Wei.
' Okok. Ya Tou.. I.. ' Ah Wei spoke.
' GOGO AHWEI. You can do it. You got the courage, do it! ' thought Ah Wei.
' I...er... ' Ah Wei slowly mumbled.
' l.i.k.e.. ' spelled Ah Wei slowly.
Ya Tou scratched her head.
' Y.o.. ' spelled Ah Wei, trying to spell the last alphabet - u.
' YATOU! Let's build sandcastles together. ' shouted Gui Gui as she ran nearer to Ya Tou.
' Sure. ' agreed Ya Tou as she smiled sweetly.
Together, both the girls, held hands and were about to head for the sand when, Ya Tou remembered about Ah Wei.
' Want to join us ? ' asked Ya Tou.
' Er, nope. I don't know how. ' said Ah Wei.
Ya Tou waved to Ah Wei and walked away with Gui Gui.
' I miss this opporturnity. ' said Ah Wei.
' All because of Gui Gui! ' said Ah Wei as he kicked the water and made a weird face to Gui Gui as they were walking.
As Gui Gui and Ya Tou were about to start building their sandcastles, Mini came to join too. Leaving, Xiao Jie and Ah Wei together. Wang Zi came back with a bag of mineral water, just right for the 6 of them.
' Gui Gui, you go get some water, so that, we can put this here. ' said Ya Tou.
' Need help ? ' asked Mini.
Gui Gui shake her head, and took a bucket.
' But.. ' Mini said as she pulled Gui Gui's hand.
' You look pale. ' said Mini with a worried look.
' Nahh. I am fine. Look at me! ' said Gui Gui as she did a "strong" pose.
Mini and Ya Tou laughed. Gui Gui walked off to get the water. As the distance between the sand and the sea were quite far away, Gui Gui had to walk a long distance. Concidentally, there is a big rock that can be walked on, that marks the place of the sea. Gui Gui walked behind the rock to get water. Then, her vision blurred out and she fainted...
At the other side...' Gui Gui's taking so long... ' said Mini as she turned behind to see if Gui Gui is back yet.
Just then, Ah Wei walked forward to the girls.
' eh. I thought there are 1..2...3 girls ? ' asked Ah Wei as he counted.
' Gui Gui! ' said Ya Tou, giving a glance to Ah Wei.
Xiao Jie and Wang Zi walked to where the girls were too.
' She went off to take some water. Then, she did not come back. ' said Mini worrying.
' COULD IT BE SOMETHING HAPPENED TO HER ? ' asked Mini, feeling scared this time.
' Aiya. Mini, you never brush teeth today ? ' asked Ah Wei, still in a joking tone.
Everybody looked at Ah Wei.
' If you don't talk, nobody would say you are a mute. ' whispered Xiao Jie.
' Maybe Mini's right! ' said Ya Tou.
Everybody starred at Ah Wei and Ah Wei placed his hands over his mouth.
' Yeah. She looked really pale just now. ' said Mini.
' Oh ya. She cannot stay under the sun for too long. ' said Ya Tou, remembering that, last time, when Gui Gui was young, she fainted due to staying under the sun for too long.
Everybody looked at each other with an anxious look.
' Eh. Where's Wang Zi ? ' asked Ah Wei as he looked around.
' GUI GUI! ' shouted Wang Zi as he looked around for Gui Gui.
Wang Zi walked nearer to the rock and saw a familar foot.
' Gui Gui. ' said Wang Zi as he carried Gui Gui.
He felt her forehead, it was really warm. Wang Zi took the waterbottle from his hand, he poured it onto his hand then placed his hand onto Gui Gui's forehead.
' Gui! You will be fine. ' said Wang Zi as he walked back to where they were with Gui Gui on his hands.
' There's Wang Zi! ' pointed Ah Wei as he saw Wang Zi walking nearer and nearer.
Everybody looked at where Ah Wei was pointing.
' She fainted due to the sun that she stood under for such a long time. ' explained Wang Zi as he placed Gui Gui on the mat.
Gui Gui was still unawake. Ya Tou and Mini stayed beside Gui Gui, worrying.
' She'll be fine. ' said Xiao Jie, seeing the two girls so worried.
' Hope so. ' said Mini.
' Aiya. Mini, you really didn't brush your teeth today. ' exclaimed Ah Wei.
Everybody looked at Ah Wei again. Xiao Jie even clenched his fist.
' Are you asking for a beating ? ' said Xiao Jie, walking nearer to Ah Wei, with fierce-looking eyes.
' Come on, dude. Calm down. ' said Ah Wei.
' Gui Gui's awake. ' said Ya Tou smiling.
Wang Zi's lip curled up.
' Why did I smile ?! ' thought Wang Zi.
Gui Gui opened her eyes, and saw two worried looking faces - Mini and Ya Tou. Xiao Jie heaved a sigh of relief, so did Mini.
' I told you! She'll be fine! ' said Ah Wei.
Xiao Yu rushed to the beach too upon receiving Ya Tou's call. Xiao Yu looked around and found Gui Gui sitting up.
' Are you ok? Xiao Mei ? ' said Xiao Yu as he rushed forward.
' I am fine. ' said Gui Gui laughing.
Xiao Yu pulled Gui Gui into his arms and hugged her. Wang Zi walked away, and walked near the sea, enjoying the beach breeze. Thoughts drifted into his mind...
' She looks so strong on the outside, yet, inside, she is just a gentle soul.. ' thought Wang Zi, as he looked out to the sea.
On the other side...' Ao Quan! ' shouted Wei Lian loudly as he saw Ao Quan in the shop.
Ao Quan turned back and realised that it was Wei Lian.
' Who're you buying flowers for? Daya ? ' asked Wei Lian.
' Wa. Wei Lian's guessing so good. Forget about it. I'll give it to Ms. Fan Fan instead. ' thought Ao Quan.
' Nahh! Who would give it to Daya ? ' said Ao Quan.
' You loh! ' said Wei Lian smiling.
Ao Quan rolled his eyes.
' I am not that stupid to give her flowers. ' said Ao Quan, acting cool.
' C'mon. We're all guys. Be more MAN! ' said Wei Lian, as he patted Ao Quan's back.
Ao Quan ignored Wei Lian and bought the flowers.
' Hehe. I will be watching a good show on Monday! ' said Wei Lian, as he walked away.
' Yeah, right. ' said Ao Quan to himself as he walked back home.
