Chapter 16 ♥' Stupid me. I made a girl mad again. ' thought Wang Zi as he shake his head and entered his room.
Ya Tou, Ya Lun, Mini and Xiao Jie looked at each other and laughed.
' First, they were quarelling. Then, peace. But, they returned to their rooms. ' joked Ya Lun.
Xiao Jie let out a little laugh. Mini looked at her watch and sighed.
' Gahh! I got to go. ' murmered Mini.
Xiao Jie looked at Mini.
' Rushing home. ' said Mini with a disappointed face.
' Oh. I'll send you home then. ' said Xiao Jie smiling.
' No! ' said Mini quickly as she rushed to the door.
' Hey. Wai- ' said Xiao Jie, but Mini ran so quickly that he decided not to catch up with her.
' Bye. ' said Xiao Jie as he waved to Ya Tou and Ya Lun.
' Haiya. I wonder what's love. ' said Ya Tou as she let out a sigh.
' Haha. You will know. ' winked Ya Lun.
Ya Tou continued mopping the floor while Ya Lun went back to his room.
' Stupid Wang Zi! ' said Gui Gui as she punched her stitch toy.
' You said that more than 3 times! ' said Wang Zi as he entered Gui Gui's room.
' What do you want ? ' said Gui Gui angrily.
' I dropped something here last night. ' said Wang Zi as he pointed to his stitch keychain.
' Aww. That's cute! ' said Gui Gui as she rushed forward to pick it up.
Wang Zi snatched it away from Gui Gui's hand.
' Careful with it. ' warned Wang Zi.
' For me, huh ? ' said Gui Gui, smiling.
Wang Zi left the room without saying a word. Gui Gui sat on her bed again and hugged her knees. She pouted.
On the other side...' What do you mean Mom's dying ? ' said Mini with tears in her eyes.
' Sorry, honey. But, mummy has an incurable disease. ' said Mini's father as he hugged Mini.
' B..ut... ' Mini heasitated and tears rolled down her cheeks.
She went into the bedroom of her mother. There, was Mini's mother. Her face was all pale. It was an apalling sight. Her skin turned yellowish. Her hands were not the warm, comfortable feeling anymore. But, cold.
' Mother. ' said Mini as she held back her tears.
' Honey. Take good care of yourself. ' said Mini's mother as she forced a smile on her face.
With that, Mini's mother hand turned wobbly. Then, her heart beat stopped. Her eyes were closed. Many callings for her, did not get back any replies. Mini shouted out loudly. She kneeled down and tears rolled down her cheeks. Mini's father tried to pull Mini away.
' Noooooo. ' murmered Mini as she continued crying.
' Mother. Why must you leave me so early ? ' said Mini as she sniffed her nose.
All Mini's father could do was to watch Mini cry. Mini could not stop crying once she cries.
' Mini. ' said Mini's father after a few hours.
Mini did not reply. She sat on the chair, hugging her knees next to her mother's bed. Mini didn't even take a look at her father.
' Mini, you have to eat. It's already 7 now. ' said Mini's father with a worried look.
Mini did not reply. Then, her phone rang. Mini did not pick it up but left it ringing in her pocket.
' Mini. ' said Mini's dad.
Mini took out her phone and rejected the call. She was too upset to think about anyone except her mother. Few minutes later, the phone rang again. Mini changed it to silent mode and placed the phone on the table. She left it vibrating for 10times.
' What's she doing ? ' thought Xiao Jie as he stopped calling Mini.
Then, Xiao Jie put back his phone into his pocket.
Gui Gui's house ...' Dinner time! ' shouted Ya Tou as she knocked on the Gui Gui's door.
Gui Gui did not reply.
' Gui Gui! ' shouted Ya Tou.
Gui Gui did not reply. Ya Tou opened Gui Gui's door found out that Gui Gui had already fallen asleep.
' Hehe. Cute Gui Gui. ' said Ya Tou as she covered the blanket on Gui Gui.
Wang Zi and Ya Lun came out from their rooms. When Wang Zi sat down, he took a glance at Gui Gui's seat. But, it was empty. Ya Lun, also, took a look at Gui Gui's seat, empty.
' Where's Gui Gui ? ' asked Ya Lun as Ya Tou entered the dining room.
' She's sleeping soundly. ' giggled Ya Tou.
Before Ya Tou could sit down and have a good rest, her phone rang.
' Haiyo! ' sighed Ya Tou as she picked up her phone.
' Do you know what happen to Mini ? ' asked Xiao Jie immediately after Ya Tou answered.
' No. ' with that, Xiao Jie hung up the phone.
Ya Tou sighed loudly and went back to her seat to eat. Ya Lun smiled as he saw Ya Tou. Then, Ya Tou's phone rang again.
' WHAT NOW ?! ' shouted Ya Tou on the phone.
' It's me! Ah Wei! ' shouted back, Ah Wei.
' Sorry, I am having dinner and everyone's calling in. ' mumbled Ya Tou.
' Huh ? ' said Ah Wei.
' Nothing. Why are you looking for me ? ' said Ya Tou, getting straight to the point.
' You know what's the homework for school ? ' asked Ah Wei, pretending, as he wanted to just hear Ya Tou's voice.
' We are sitting together, I can hear what's the teacher talking and you can't. You must not be paying attention. ' said Ya Tou as she sighed again.
' Because my Ya Tou is so pretty, so she's got all my attention. ' said Ah Wei softly.
' Huh ? ' said Ya Tou as she heard her name.
' Nothing. ' said Ah Wei quickly.
' No homework. ' said Ya Tou.
' Ok. Can we chat ? ' said Ah Wei.
' As I said, I AM HAVING DINNER! ' said Ya Tou angrily and she hung up the phone.
Ah Wei was surprised that Ya Tou shouted at him.
' Ya Tou don't like me anymore!!!!!! ' mumbled Ah Wei sadly.
' You sound very angry today. ' said Ya Lun as he reached to the dish of vegetables.
' Do I ? ' said Ya Tou as she sat down angrily.
Ya Lun starred at Ya Tou. But, Ya Tou picked up her chopsticks and started eating.
Ah Wei's side...' Ah Wei. There is a call for you! ' shouted Ah Wei's mother.
Ah Wei rushed down from his room to the living room.
' Hello Ah Wei! ' answered Wei Lian as Ah Wei ' hello-ed '
' Yes ? ' said Ah Wei as he acted cute.
' Why do you sound like that ? I thought that you were the school's cleaner. ' said Wei Lian.
' You know, the one with the pink shoes, pink make up. ' continued Wei Lian.
' Not interested. My girlfriend is dumping me. ' sighed Ah Wei.
' What happened ?! That means I stand a chance ? ' said Wei Lian.
Ah Wei ignored Wei Lian's 2nd question.
' Well, she scolded me. ' said Ah Wei in disappointment.
' Beat is love. Scold is like. ' said Wei Lian.
' Oh yes! Why didn't I think of that ? ' said Ah Wei as he cheered up all of a sudden.
With that, Ah Wei hung up the phone without telling Wei Lian.
' Gah. Nevermind. He's busy with his love life. ' said Wei Lian.
Gui Gui's side...' Let me help you. ' volunteered Ya Lun as Ya Tou was washing the plates.
Ya Tou smiled and nodded.
' Thanks. ' said Ya Tou finally finish with washing the plates.
' It's better when there is a 2nd person helping me. ' said Ya Tou.
' Was that Ah Wei just now ? ' asked Ya Lun.
Ya Tou nodded and started to get angry again.
' I hate people who call me when I am eating!! ' said Ya Tou furiously.
Then, Ya Tou walked out of the kitchen and banged her door loudly. As it was quite late, Ya Lun turned in to sleep.
' Little Prince, stop reading. ' said Ya Lun as he grabbed hold of Wang Zi's book.
Then, on the book, he saw the word ' girl '. Ya Lun had a glance of the summary.
' Orh! You're worried about Gui Gui. ' teased Ya Lun.
' See! Why do girls get angry so easily and how to make them happy book! It's obvious! ' said Ya Lun.
' I've been hurting her, this days. ' said Wang Zi.
' Promise me that you won't tell anyone about this. ' said Wang Zi.
Then, he grabbed hold of Ya Lun's shoulder and whispered.
' Oh my god ?! She believes in those fortune tellers things ? ' laughed Ya Lun.
Wang Zi let out a laugh and both of them continued laughing.
' Yes, she does. ' said Wang Zi, trying to be serious.
' Pff. ' said Ya Lun.
' Let's turn in. It's kind of late now. ' said Ya Lun.
Wang Zi nodded and both of them fell into their sleep in a short while.
The next day...Gui Gui woke up earlier than usual. Earlier than everyone, like usual, she went to the dining room first. Then, she saw that the dining table was empty, Gui Gui was surprised and look at the clock.
' It's too early! ' said Gui Gui to herself as she laughed.
It was really unusual for Gui Gui to wake up so early. In fact, she was always the last to wake up.
