Chapter 19 ♥" May I help you, Mr. Ah Wei ? " said Ms Fan Fan, smiling.
Her smile made Ah Wei freak out. He knows he is going to get...
" Detention. This afternoon. 1-6pm! " said Ms Fan Fan.
Just like what Ah Wei thought, detention! He regretted shouting that loud. At that moment, he felt so uncontrollably excited that he let out a shout of excitement that he like Ya Tou. Ya Tou looked elsewhere. She pretended that she didn't hear what Ah Wei shouted. Wei Lian continued laughing behind.
" So, Ah Wei likes Ya Tou. " murmered Gui Gui.
" Can't you concentrate on your work ? " said Wang Zi as he rolled his eyes.
" Aiyo! I remembered that last night, someone wanted to lie on my lap hor ? " said Gui Gui smiling cheekily.
Wang Zi ignored what Gui Gui said. He was too embarrassed to reply. He showed his 'soft' side to Gui Gui and he also forgotten what he told Gui Gui last night.
Who would even dare to face up to this bashful situation ?
Gui Gui knew she went overboard. Upon seeing what Wang Zi did, he was still in his thoughts. He stopped doing his work. After a minute or two, he continued. Silence broke out.
" How do you do this question ? " asked Wei Yu.
" Well, just add this then this and divide this. " explained Gui Gui.
" Stupid Gui! Wrong method. " said Wang Zi as he pushed Gui Gui away.
Then, Wei Yu leaned towards Xiao Jie.
" Are they always like this ? " whispered Wei Yu.
" Yes. Alot of times. In fact, it's their daily routine. " said Xiao Jie laughing.
" What routine ? " asked Gui Gui and Wang Zi together.
" Nothing. " Wei Yu replied as he smiled.
After School..." Mini isn't in school for like... " Gui Gui said as she counted.
" Two days. " said Ya Tou stopping Gui Gui from counting.
" What about you and Ah Wei ? " said Gui Gui nudging Ya Tou's arm as she packed her bag.
" Well.... " Ya Tou said as she blushed.
" Hehehehe! Think carefully! Ah Wei's a great guy. " said Gui Gui, smiling her sweetest.
" How romantic! " said Gui Gui dreamily.
" One day, you and Wang Zi will be the same too. " said Ya Tou smiling.
Knowing that Gui Gui wanted to hear that from her. Gui Gui smiled and blushed. Then, they both saw Xiao Jie dashing out of the classroom. As Xiao Jie was walking down the streets looking for Mini, he saw a familar girl. Xiao Jie widened his eyes. Then, rubbed his eyes to confirm. There is that girl near the road. It is Mini!
" Mini! " shouted Xiao Jie.
Mini did not hear Xiao Jie calling out for her. She crossed the road without looking and a car was approaching...
" Mini! " shouted Xiao Jie as he ran towards her.
Luckily, Xiao Jie managed to push Mini away. But, Mini's face was full of depression. She looked gloomy. She had tangles on her hair, panda eyes, and her clothes looked crumbled. It was not the Mini, Xiao Jie once knew. Still, Xiao Jie hugged Mini tightly. Just then, Mini started crying.
" Let me die! " said Mini as she cried.
" You can't! " said Xiao Jie, feeling sad as he sees Mini crying.
" Mom's gone! Why should I live in this earth ?! " said Mini, her voice was all shaky, tears rolled down her cheeks.
" What about your dad ? Have you thought about your dad ? If you're gone, what is your dad going to do ? " said Xiao Jie.
" He's never taken care of me. He's always BUSY BUSY and BUSY! He doesn't even care about us. He only cares about his work! " said Mini angrily upon hearing about her father.
Xiao Jie ran out of words. What's he going to say next ?
" I am transferring schools. " said Mini, as she left Xiao Jie's arm.
" What about your friends ? Ya Tou and Gui Gui ? " asked Xiao Jie.
" Tell them I am fine. Just, don't say about me transferring schools. " said Mini, wiping her tears off, trying hard not to cry.
" Don't leave. " said Xiao Jie, about to cry.
" Sorry. " said Mini as she left.
" Mini, I like you. " murmered Xiao Jie as he sees Mini leaving.
It was all too late. Why can't he just confess to her before she left ?
" Why am I such a coward ?! " said Xiao Jie to himself as he kicks the bench nearby.
Xiao Jie started crying bitterly. He squatted down, and pulled onto his hair.
Gui Gui's side..." Lalalalala ~ " sang Gui Gui as Ya Tou opened the door.
" Why are you so happy today ? " said Ya Tou as she smiled cheekily.
Ya Lun rushed forward with a tray of muffins.
" Muffins, anyone ? " said Ya Lun smiling.
" Yum Yum Yum Yum Yum! " said Gui Gui as she muched the chocolate muffin.
" Didn't know guys can bake. " said Ya Tou as she munched the chocolate muffin too.
" Here's one! " said Ya Lun proudly.
" Why are you baking muffins ? " asked Ya Tou curiously.
" Because, today, I will be officially wooing Gui Gui. " said Ya Lun smiling.
Gui Gui who was drinking a cup of water, spitted her water out upon hearing what Ya Lun said. Wang Zi looked at Ya Lun. Gui Gui swallowed her water.
" What..did....you..say ?! " said Gui Gui as she wiped her mouth.
" I, Ya Lun, am officially wooing you, Gui Gui! " said Ya Lun as he smiled.
" Me ? Gui Gui ? Ghost ? Wu Ying Jie ? " said Gui Gui as she pointed to herself.
" Yes. " said Ya Lun.
Wang Zi and Ya Tou starred at Ya Lun.
" But... " heasitated Gui Gui.
" No matter what. I will keep on trying till you'll be my girlfriend. " said Ya Lun.
Gui Gui looked at Wang Zi. His face had the words written " Dont even bother. " Gui Gui thought for awhile, finally, she had her final decision. Everybody looked at her, enthusiastic.
" Yes. " said Gui Gui as she smiled happily.
Wang Zi looked down. Although he felt happy for his brother but deep inside, he felt a sharp pain in his heart. Ya Lun hugged Gui Gui. They smiled happily to each other. They held hands happily. Just like love doves.
" Aiyo. It's this way. " said Ya Lun as he pinched Gui Gui's cheek.
" No la. This way! " said Gui Gui as she hitted Ya Lun.
Wang Zi, Ya Tou, Ya Lun and Gui Gui were together at the night market. They wanted to walk around and also have dinner. Wang Zi had his hands tucked into his pockets. Ya Tou continued starring at Wang Zi.
" Ya Tou, Wang Zi, we'll go check out the couple stuffs there. Can you both wait here ? " said Gui Gui, smiling cheerfully.
" Ok. " said Ya Tou, smiling back.
When they were gone, Ya Tou managed to speak up.
" I know you like Gui Gui. " said Ya Tou as she smiled confidently.
" Who said so ? " said Wang Zi coldly as he looked down to the floor.
" Who says not ? " replied Ya Tou, smiling confidently again.
" I won't fall for a girl like her. If I would to fall in love, I might as well fall in love with Da Ya. At least she is not as no-brainer as Gui Gui. " said Wang Zi coldly.
" Daya's Ao Quan's. " said Ya Tou smiling again.
" Then, I'll be single. " said Wang Zi.
" But.. " Ya Tou said but she was cut off by Gui Gui.
" Done! " said Gui Gui smiling.
They continued walking through the night market till they reach a restaurant.
" Let's eat here. " said Gui Gui.
" Ok! " said Ya Lun as he held Gui Gui's hand.
" Good Evening. How many people are there ? " said the friendly waitress.
" 4. " said Gui Gui smiling.
" Come, follow me. " said the waitress.
They all sat down. Gui Gui was sitting beside Ya Lun. Ya Tou was beside Wang Zi.
" Here's the menu. " said the waitress as she handed the menus to Wang Zi and Gui Gui.
" You both must be couples. We have a couple's meal! " said the waitress as she looked at Wang Zi and Gui Gui.
" No!!!! " said Gui Gui, surprised.
" This is my couple! " said Gui Gui as she pulled Ya Lun's arm.
Ya Lun smiled charmingly.
" Oh. Sorry. I made a mistake. " said the waitress.
Wang Zi was surprised of Gui Gui's reaction. Somehow, he felt the pain inside again.
" What about this ? And this ? And this! " said Gui Gui as she pointed at the menu.
" Wa. Greedy pig. " said Ya Lun as he pinched Gui Gui's cheeks.
" I am not! " said Gui Gui angrily.
" Okok. Fine. You are the prettiest pig in the world. " joked Ya Lun.
" Then you must be the prettiest pig's husband which is also a pig. " said Gui Gui, smiling happily.
Ya Tou giggled as she see the couple. As she giggled, she remembered the incident in class, this morning.
-FLASHBACK-
" I remembered someone saying that he is not afraid of confessing. " said Wei Lian, rubbing his chin.
Ah Wei glared at Wei Lian.
" Ok! Here it goes! " said Ah Wei as he smiled.
" Ya Tou, I LIKE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " shouted Ah Wei loudly.
-FLASHBACK END-
" Ya Tou. Ya Tou. " said Gui Gui as she looked at Ya Tou with a worried look.
" Huh ? " asked Ya Tou curiously.
" Is this ok with you ? " said Gui Gui as she pointed to the menu.
" Yes. " said Ya Tou smiling sweetly.
The waitress repeated the order and walked off. Wang Zi remained quiet. He was much more quiet than before. Gui Gui looked at Wang Zi, somehow, she thought of something...
-FLASHBACK-
" Who are you ? " asked Wang Zi as he pointed at Gui Gui.
" Gui Gui. " said Gui Gui, giving her best smile.
" Oh, my childhood friend! " blabbered out Wang Zi.
" So, he did remember. But he didn't tell me... " thought Gui Gui sadly as she pouted.
" Why are you pouting ? Hehe! So cute. " said Wang Zi, smiling.
-FLASHBACK END-
" Aiyo. What am I thinking ? I am now Ya Lun's girlfriend eh! " thought Gui Gui to herself as she pouted.
In fact, she still likes Wang Zi. But, she is too soft-hearted to reject someone like Ya Lun. Besides, he is Wang Zi's brother.
Ah Wei's side..." Detention. Detention. Detention. Haiya! 6pm already. So hungry! " said Ah Wei as he rubbed his tummy.
He passed by the night market and saw Wang Zi and the others. As he saw Wang Zi and Ya Tou, he thought that they were dating. He dashed into the restaurant.
" Wang Zi! Ya Tou is mine! " said Ah Wei as he pushed Ya Tou behind him.
Wang Zi stood up.
" What mine ? She's not even my girlfriend. " explained Wang Zi.
Everybody looked at Ah Wei, making a big fuss. It was all a misunderstanding.
" Ah Wei, I am not dating anyone! " said Ya Tou angrily.
" We need to talk! " said Ya Tou as she pulled Ah Wei out of the restaurant.
" Sorry Ya Tou! I didn't mean to! " apologised Ah Wei.
" Nevermind. About this morning... " said Ya Tou.
" What I am saying is true. I like you, Ya Tou. " said Ah Wei bravely.
" Well.. I... " Ya Tou blushed.
" Are you willing to accept me ? " said Ah Wei as he held Ya Tou's hands.
" Erm... " Ya Tou heasitated.
" Just nod or shake your head. " said Ah Wei, eager to know.
Ya Tou thought for quite awhile. And finally, she nodded.
" Yay! My Ya Tou! " said Ah Wei as he hugged Ya Tou happily.
" Finally, you're mine! " said Ah Wei happily.
Ya Tou pushed Ah Wei away.
" This is public. I am.. " Ya Tou said shyly.
" Shy. " said Ah Wei as he completed Ya Tou's sentence.
Still, Ah Wei hugged Ya Tou.
" Hahaha. Another couple. " said Gui Gui as she smiled happily, looking outside.
Then, Ya Lun smiled too as he looked outside. Wang Zi looked outside and felt happy for the two of them -Ya Tou and Ah Wei. Then, he thought of something that had happened a long time ago...
-FLASHBACK-
" Promise me! Next time, if we see would to each other again, we will be girlfriend and boyfriend. " said the little girl.
" Promise! " said the little boy as he locked his fingers with the little girl.
The little girl and the little boy hugged each other. Then, the little boy waved goodbye. The little girl cried. Her tears rolled down her cheeks. But, she was still hiding her feelings. She stood there, smiling and waving back to the little boy.
-FLASHBACK END-
" Finish eating. " said Gui Gui happily.
" Haha. Hungry pig finish eating. " said Ya Lun.
Gui Gui hitted Ya Lun's back. Just like what normal couples do. Together, hand in hand. Gui Gui and Ya Lun returned home. Wang Zi excused himself by saying that he had something to do. While Ya Tou and Ah Wei had a walk at the night market.
Again, Wang Zi went to the beach. The cool breeze blew. Trees rustled and the waves made a great combination with the trees, like a music. Wang Zi smiled to himself. Although he looks so strong at the outside, he is indifferent in the inside. As he watched the waves, he remembered something.
-FLASHBACK-
' GUI GUI! ' shouted Wang Zi as he looked around for Gui Gui.
Wang Zi walked nearer to the rock and saw a familar foot.
' Gui Gui. ' said Wang Zi as he carried Gui Gui.
He felt her forehead, it was really warm. Wang Zi took the waterbottle from his hand, he poured it onto his hand then placed his hand onto Gui Gui's forehead.
' Gui! You will be fine. ' said Wang Zi as he walked back to where they were with Gui Gui on his hands.
-FLASHBACK END-
" Wang Zi, what are you thinking ? Don't tell me that you've really fallen in love with Gui Gui ? " thought Wang Zi.
