Chapter 17 ♥' Woah! I am first today! ' cheered Gui Gui to herself.
The next thing that Gui Gui could do is to fill her stomach as it is groaning. She rush to the kitchen to cook. She beat the eggs and stir it. Happily, she poured it onto the pan, and made a nice scrambled egg. ( That's all that she can do with cooking. )
' Yum Yum! ' said Gui Gui as she took out a bread and ate the egg.
Gui Gui happily ate her favourite scramble eggs. Just then, someone tapped on her shoulder. Gui Gui let out a scream.
' Ha ha ha. ' laughed Wang Zi coldly as he looked at Gui Gui's shock face.
Gui Gui decided to ignore Wang Zi and continue eating. Ya Lun came out of his room next. After Gui Gui finish eating, Ya Tou came out from her room.
' Wa! Gui Gui, you cooked yourself ?! ' shouted Ya Tou as she entered the messy kitchen.
Gui Gui gave an embarrassed grin. Wang Zi and Ya Lun giggled.
' Gee. I need to do this cleaning up. ' sighed Ya Tou.
' Gui Gui, you go to school first! ' said Ya Tou as she smiled.
Gui Gui nodded and quickly went to her room to change into her uniform. When she came out of her room, Wang Zi had already left for school. Ya Lun help out with Ya Tou in the kitchen. Gui Gui hurriedly grab her bag and rushed to the kitchen to say goodbye. Before Ya Tou could reply, Gui Gui had already made a dash out of the house.
1 Hour Later...' Mini! ' said Ms Fan Fan as she was taking the attendance.
Nobody replied.
' Mini, calling twice! ' said Ms Fan Fan again without looking up.
Her eyes were glued on the attendance. Still, no reply.
' Mini, calling thri- 2 and a quarter. ' said Ms Fan Fan.
Nobody replied.
' Mini, calling thrice!!! ' shouted Ms Fan Fan.
Still, nobody answered. Xiao Jie looked at Mini's seat and sighed.
' Ya Tou! ' smiled Ah Wei as he looked at Ya Tou.
Ya Tou smiled back sweetly as she wiped her sweat off her cheeks.
' Hello Ya Tou! ' said Wei Lian from behind.
Ya Tou turned back, this time, her smile was much more radiant than the one before. Ah Wei glared at Wei Lian. Giving his " get out of her sight " look, Wei Lian made an " exit ". Rong Jia looked at Wei Lian's silly look and giggled. As Rong Jia giggled, Wei Lian looked at her.
' Wa. Didn't know Rong Jia is much more cuter than Ya Tou! ' thought Wei Lian as he blushed.
At the other side of the classroom...' Daya ? ' whispered Ao Quan.
' Hmm ? ' answered Da Ya, this time, much more gentle than before.
' You know, ehhh... ' heasitated Ao Quan.
' Huh ? ' said Da Ya as she looked at Ao Quan.
Ao Quan grinned and smiled shyly.
' You are very pretty today! ' Ao Quan wanted to say that to Da Ya but somehow his mouth stopped him from doing so.
' Nothing... ' said Ao Quan as he looked down, sadly.
' Out with it. ' said Da Ya smiling as she nudged Ao Quan's arm.
Ao Quan looked at Da Ya, he knew at once, he found the girl he was looking for all along. A pretty, confident, intelligent, quick-minded, yet stubborn sometimes, Da Ya.
' I... er... ' Ao Quan wanted to say it, but his throat seems to stop him too.
Just then, Wei Lian walk to where Ao Quan and Daya were sitting.
' Ao Quan, how's your love confession ? ' said Wei Lian.
' What.. ar..e you talking ab..out ?! ' said Ao Quan quickly.
Ao Quan quickly pushed Wei Lian aside leaving the do-not-know-anything Da Ya alone.
' Wei Lian, Ao Quan, if you don't like my lessons, you can tell me anytime. ' said Ms Fan Fan.
Everybody had their eyes glued on the both of them.
' I'll forgive you this time. Back to your seats. ' ordered Ms Fan Fan.
Obediently, Wei Lian and Ao Quan returned to their seats. Ao Quan could not express what he wanted. Besides, all his life, all he does was to reject girls. Not even one of them could make his legs wobbly, or make his heart beat faster.
Then, he had an idea. He wrote a little note and left it on Daya's table just before school ends when Da Ya was not around. When the bell rang, Ao Quan quickly left the school for home.
' Da Ya ! ' shouted Gui Gui as she saw something flying away from Daya's table.
Da Ya turned around and saw Gui Gui holding a small piece of pink, heart-shaped paper.
' Wa. Love letter lehhhh! ' said Gui Gui admiringly.
Da Ya quickly grabbed the paper from Gui Gui's hand. The note reads :
Dear Daya,
I could not bring myself to say this out.
All I do, for all this years, was rejecting girls.
Nobody made my heart melt, except you.
I found you!
I found out that you were the one!
Me, of course, would work hard to woo you
From,
Nameless.
Da Ya scratched her head. Who's nameless ? Who's this guy that like her ? Who would like a girl like her ? She is so hot-headed and scares a guy out of the wits! Who would like her ? Would would ever want to go out with her ? Who did she made his heart melt ? All the thoughts were swirling around Da Ya's head.
Gui Gui stood there, guessing.
' Wei Lian ? ' murmered Gui Gui, using her hand to rub her chin.
Then, Da Ya recalled something.
-FLASHBACK-
' Ao Quan, how's your love confession ? ' said Wei Lian.
' What.. ar..e you talking ab..out ?! ' said Ao Quan quickly.
Ao Quan quickly pushed Wei Lian aside.
-FLASHBACK ENDS-
' Ao Quan ? ' thought Da Ya.
Ao Quan like Da Ya ? Da Ya made Ao Quan's heart melt ?
' Gui Gui! ' shouted Ya Tou.
' Let's get back home. ' said Ya Tou approaching.
Gui Gui was still thinking, her eyebrows were crossed, she folded her arms and was in a " detective " pose.
' Gui Gui ? ' said Ya Tou as she waved her hand infront of Gui Gui.
' Hu- ? Wha..t ? ' said Gui Gui, coming out from her thoughts.
' OH! I KNOW! ' Gui Gui shouted loudly.
Before leaving, she whispered into Da Ya's ear. Just like who Da Ya thought - Ao Quan.
Over at Xiao Jie's side...Xiao Jie redialled Mini's number again. No answer.
' Who are you calling ? Mini right ? ' said Ah Wei smiling cheekily.
' Ya, I mean no. ' said Xiao Jie, almost blabbering out.
' I think you better stick to thinking of your Ya Tou instead of sticking your head into my matters. ' said Xiao Jie.
' Xiao Jie! ' shouted Wang Zi as he guided Xiao Jie to a nearby restaurant.
Ya Lun smiled and entered the restaurant with Wang Zi, Xiao Jie, Wei Lian and Ah Wei.
' Ao Quan's giving a treat! ' said Ah Wei, salivating.
Just then, Ao Quan came, he waved at the others.
' My treat, today ! ' said Ao Quan happily as he sat down.
' What's the occasion ? ' asked Xiao Jie.
Wang Zi had his earpiece on. Listening to songs, as usual.
' I know! His sucess on wooing Da Ya. ' said Wei Lian.
Everybody looked at Ao Quan. Since, everybody did, Wang Zi looked at Ao Quan as well.
' Wei Lian, don't talk non....sense. ' said Ao Quan, trying to grin.
Still, nobody trusted Ao Quan except Ah Wei. This time, everyone looked at Ah Wei, who was eating.
' You trust him ? ' said Wei Lian.
Ah Wei nodded and continued eating.
' Even Wei Lian knows it is a lie, how stupid you can be ? ' said Xiao Jie as he used his hand to push Ah Wei's head.
' Am I that stupid ? ' said Wei Lian.
' Yes, you are! ' everybody answered.
Soon, more dishes came. Everybody started eating, having a great time.
On the other side...' Wang Zi..... ' said Gui Gui as she was taking a nap on the sofa.
' WANGZI! ' shouted Gui Gui, finally awake.
Ya Tou rush out from the toilet to the living room.
' 袜子(socks) ? Where ?! ' said Ya Tou.
' I remembered I place all the socks into the wardrobe. ' said Ya Tou.
' Huh ? ' said Gui Gui, confused.
' Oh. Did you dream of Wang Zi again ? It's really obvious you like him! ' said Ya Tou, smiling.
' er...no. ' said Gui Gui.
Silence broke out. Gui Gui quickly on the television to break the silence.
' Nice show. ' said Gui Gui.
' Aiyo. It is already the 21st century. Why are you still watching this ?! ' laughed Ya Tou.
' Oh. ' said Gui Gui, embarrassed.
The two girls continued watching the televison. Ya Tou can't help but giggle at Gui Gui's embarrassed expression. Her best friend falling for Wang Zi...
Da Ya's side...' Ao Quan ? ' thought Da Ya as she sat on her bed.
Suddenly, Da Ya's phone vibrated...
